My composite shape has 2 triangles, A and B. It also has 2 squares, A and B.
Area for triangle A:
Given:
Base, b=4cm
Height, h=5cm
The area of triangle=bxh÷2
The area of triangle=bxh÷2
=4cmx5cm÷2
=20cm square÷2
=10cm square
Area for triangle B:
Given:
Base, b=4cm
Height, h=5cm
The area of triangle=bxh÷2
=4cmx5cm÷2
=20cm square÷2
=10cm square
Area for square A:
Given:
Length, l=5cm
Width, w=5cm
The area of square=lxw
=5cmx5cm
=25cm square
Area for square B:
Given:
Length, l=5cm
Width, w=5cm
The area of square=lxw
=5cmx5cm
=25cm square
Total area far composite shape:
Area for TA+Area for TB+Area for SA+Area for SB
=10cm square+10cm square+25cm square+25cm square
=70cm square
