Explanation -
Part 1 - Explain why plants need water-
Plants need water to stay alive. It helps them stay strong, stable, keep their shape, size and to grow really well .Eg; a tree could use water for its fruit and body/structure, shape and size, a flower could use water for its growth and beauty.
Part 2 - How they absorb water-
Osmosis is the process of the root system. It is how the water is absorbed into the roots and how it travels throughout the plant and gives it the nutrients it needs. A plant gets its water from the soil, using the smallest parts of the roots {if the roots are transparent then it also means that the osmosis of the plant is transparent.} Then it transfers water molecules throughout the plant. The plant’s roots also absorb nutrients from the soil. The evaporation is another step that it takes to get all of the harmony it consists of; all plants actually are water. The plants stem stores most of the water from osmosis.
